Here's another from Travel.State.Gov

All Americans in São Tomé and Príncipe are encouraged to register with the U.S. Embassy in Gabon through the State Department’s travel registration website, https://travelregistration.state.gov. A hand-crank or windup Cell phone charger would be nice for unreliable local power. Many varieties available now, some are dedicated phone chargers, others built-in as a feature of some LED flashlights, still other multi-LED lanterns with little radios or bigger and better potable radios with a single LED light and phone charger combination ...all windup sorts.
Freeplay's Phone Charger, also includes a barrel DC cigarette lighter charging adapter, an AC charger (either 110V, 220V or both on request) and the phone connector of your choice (also on request). Their customizable parts are free on request and are sent postage free as well. A wonderful company and the originator of dynamo hand-cranked gear.

People can retire as a "Resident Pensionado" in Panama if they have a USD $500/month income ($600 for 2, if married). Good full medical modern medical/dentalruns about $1,000/yr. No tax on auto import or household goods every 2 yrs, no taxes for 20 yrs, discounts on goods and services (with a pensionado card) of 1/3 to 1/2 throughout the country. Good roads, high speed Internet. Great fishing and beaches. Cooler temps in the mountains. Not too bad a deal.

I use Google Mail (GMail) everyday and it does an admirable job of performing directed email searches. My kind of filing. LoCal Hitech with enormous storage ("Never throw away email again!").
Anyway, less filling, tastes great ... and it's free.
