It seems like you are a relatively well traveled person. I therefore find it upsetting and alarming that you are so insensitive to local culture and language. A lack of English skills does not mean a vendor is not intelligent. France is not in fact the language of business interactions but a language most Moroccans have taken as synonymous with white foreign visitors.
