I like it when you brag. It gives the rest of us motivation for breaking out of our respective boxes. Please brag more, and give us as much insight into your thoughts on your life as possible. Its a big decision to do what you do, and if anyone else in considering living as you do, then they need as much insight as possible.
Also, there is another related lifestyle, that of those who "cruise" on sailboats. They live much like you, however, they do it with a floating home. I know at one point you were thinking about doing this. It would be interesting to hear your view on the contrast between your lifestyle and that of the cruiser.
I'm wary of the cruising lifestyle because of the large liability that your towing around with you, but then again, visiting locations around the world would be another experience altogether. I think Id be pulled more toward your lifestyle, but both are interesting.

If you write and market this book the right way, I think that it has the potential to match or surpass your current income from your website.
Be sure that you title it something akin to "How to live on $500 per month in Paradise" or something similar. The BIGGEST mistake the "How an Average Man Lived an Adventurous Life" guy made was that title. It doesn't communicate what people want to know. Therefore, I'm sure that his book sells much less than it otherwise could have. Additionally, it seems that the better title is wide open, meaning that no one else has written a book with such a title. Grab it.
Definitely get it edited by at least two qualified people. Bad editing, or lack of editing, will ruin a book. I've seen it. Especially because your used to writing in an abbreviated style for the web. Don't skimp on the editing. Additionally, after your done writing it, take a couple of months off, and don't look at it. Then go back and read it again. You need time off from your own writing to be able to look at it in an objective way. You'll be surprised at how much you rewrite after you take time off.
Don't hold back. The world appreciates actual usefulness, and disrespects shallow information. The more useful your book, the more that it will sell.
Good luck. I'm sure that it will be a fun, but tedious, process.

Andy,
Do you know about the www.cruisersforum.com website for sailors and liveaboards?
There is a fairly large community there that may be able to answer many of your boat ownership and boat lifestyle related questions. Also, many there practice a similar lifestyle to yours, albeit with a boat. They would appreciate your knowledge there as well.

Definitely crew a boat before you buy. Doing otherwise could be a huge mistake.
The only downfall is internet connection.
Try some (25 mg or less every 2 out of three days) of 5-htp (Jarrow brand or other reliable brand) for seasickness. Take it in the late morning or early afternoon. I cant promise it will work, but it directly addresses the cause (low serotonin) of seasickness more than anything else. I get horribly seasick myself, and if you dont conquer it, the boat venture wont be worth it.
Try to crew on the Karaka or Keturah. Both have websites and take applications for crewing on a regular basis. Also, they arent work boats, but just travelers. They all have a lot of experience doing what you do, but via a boat. You wont be doing more work than the boat requires for maintenance and community living. The emphasis is on living life. They both charge a rate though, to crew, for boat upkeep and food. But its not excessive of actual costs. Its just community living. Go read their logs for more about them. It'll be worth it.
You almost cant spend too much time on cruisersforum.com to learn about the best boat to buy for your price range. Also, there is a HUGE difference between 35 and 45 feet. The difference in the amount of power those two ranges produce, under sail, is huge. Also, costs are exponential to size. If your just keeping to the Caribbean, and not crossing oceans, I would suggest that smaller is much better, easier, and cheaper. 35 foot is still a very nice size for a single man.
