There is a type of restaurant in the USA called a "Diner." A diner is a prefabricated restaurant, often with an exterior layer of stainless steel.

A short 5-10 minute walk from my room in the LaSalle Bed and Breakfast in Fort Wayne, Indiana is the Cindy's Diner. It is located on the corner of Harrison and Wayne, which is the center downtown Fort Wayne. It is open for breakfast and lunch from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

How to learn the American culture? There is no better way to understand the American culture than to eat breakfast at this type of restaurant.

A guy by the name of Schiffel made a movie in that diner there in Ft Wayne. Did you ever hear of that? Been a while back but I remember something about it.

Andy I love the Cindy's Diner blog. I like these little cafes. They are so much fun and so real compared to fast food chains. I hope things are going well with you. Keep us posted on how your plans are going. I will stay in touch.
