Rules to follow to not get robbed in Hotel.

  1. TOILET RUN - Always lock the door when you are going to the toilet or leaving the room. In some countries like India they wait close by watching your room waiting for the western traveler to do this.
  2. WINDOW - Do not place valuables close to open window. If a table is next to a window where a person can reach in an grab things you are in danger.
  3. WINDOW - Do not rent a room where a person could enter through the window.
  4. WINDOW - Sometime the window is close enough to the door to reach in through the window and unlock the door.
  5. LOCK HASP - Only rent rooms where you can use your own lock.
  6. VISITORS - Do not allow anyone in your room.
  7. MANAGER ENTRY - If the manager of the hotel can enter the room you are in danger of being robbed.
  8. ROOF ENTRY - If the roof is made of tile or grass they can break into the room by entering from the roof.
  9. NUMBER OF ROOMS - The more rooms in a hotel the safer. When you rent a one room place in an isolated you location you better not have anything of value. People camp on beaches and they get robbed constantly.
