Hi Andy, its Austen writing you again. I have an airfare question for you. I
will be flying to bangkok from minnesota in beginning of september I cant seem
to find flights less than 1000 dollars, I would ideally like to pay half that.
Where would you go from minneapolis to find the cheapest flight to thailand,
thanks

            sincerely  Austen B.

Hello Austen,

I think from Minnesota you may be able to get 750 one-way, a difficult question now that all the airlines are raising their fees daily.

There is a man Marshal from Chicago that maybe could get you a good price, need to say I want a ticket for 500 dollars though. He is an air consolidator, however I think these cheap tickets are now sold on sites like Travelocity.com or Kayak.com.

Marshall's telephone number is: 1 847 405 0575

Strange as it sounds, if you get on about three to four times per day at weird hours, ready to purchase the ticket you can get lucky.

I mean, check Travelocity.com and Kayak.com and other sites daily.

I jut purchased a ticket a couple of months ago from Guatemala to Lima for 300 dollars, and every other ticket for days was about 700, but one day I go lucky. I was checking daily.

The other option is to search for Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francico, Seatle, etc on the coast to Thailand.

Then take a cheap Southwest Ticket to the gate.

This page has all my ideas to date, but prices have went up 40 percent.

Note the Low Cost Carriers are not sold by Travel Agents.

This is supposed to be a search of them. but who can tell clear.

This is the wiki list of low cost carriers.

Note, buying ahead does not mean much really, sometimes the best fares are unloaded the last two days before the flight to fill it up, but this can be risky.
