Hello Jonathan, Andy here of HoboTraveler.com YOU WROTE: ID: 427 Category: General Question for Andy Name: Jonathan Country: USA Message: Hello Andy- My name is jonathan and I have spent some time over the last few days reviewing your content. I love what you have acomplished, and hopefully soon will start my experience. I was curious how the worlds illnesses have affected you while traveling? not to bring up a negative subject but, I would like to know all the realistic fact I can before setting out. I also am a web designer, I dont know a whole lot of programming but image correction, html, css, basic javascript, flash, mainly design, anyway if you need a hand I would enjoy it. Thanks for you time, Jonathan ANSWER: How does the wold illness affected me? I would say, ZERO. About the same as if I was in the USA, my health has had problems, but not because of the world. 1. I became weak and malnutrition, because I ate only cracker in India because the place was dirty and difficult. 2. I developed a fungus in my crotch on the Amazon River, because I was not cleaning properly. My advice, is continue to eat good, take vitamins, and clean, even if all the other travelers have worn the same clothes for three days, change you underwear, and clean your clothes. Traveling is not an excuse for bad hygiene. As for working, hard to have a casual help situation now, I have a man from India working full time, and we do not pay USA wages, plus generally it take about one year before a person working for me starts to get up to speed. Go and make money on a webpage, then use it to travel, if you can. Thanks Andy of HoboTraveler.com in Kpalime, Togo March 2007 |
