I have a friend, I am positive he has never started an email, I believe this because every email has in the subject line,

Therefore to enable him to write me, I need to first write him, I use two techniques.

1. I send a newsletter out to all my friends, and he is on the list, he can click on reply and write me, this is a tickler for him and you to reply.

2. I send a letter something like, good to hear from you.

I need a new email in his box, this allows him to save face and just click on reply.

There are associates where I always start the dialog, because otherwise they are lost.
