Attempted Mugging in Cape Coast Ghana July 2007

I was told that in Cape Coast Ghana about five Peace Corps girls went out to the bars after the sunset to the tourist area. There was a blackout or the electricity was off. A man with a machete came and demanded money and the girl started screaming and he ran, she was not hurt.

Darkness and Bars, not a good combination. Criminals know where the easy targets go and what they do.
