A huge debate in my mind, and the verdict is now 80 percent in favor of absolute links:

The biggest problem with Absolute links is it slows down the opening of pages.

Example:
http://www.hobotraveler.com/blogger.html

As compared to

blogger.html

IF you are in the root pages you can use just the blogger.html and for sure Frontpage make this the default.

However, SEO wise the boys in the knows seem to say the long link is the best.

HERE is a good quote and makes good sense for a Bot baby to know.
