Impossible to keep current. BEWARE... or WARNING. Buying internet access can be a very complicated process. Better to allow someone else to show you the first time. WARNING NOTE: I NEVER recommend you buy service from your LOCAL ISP or internet service provider. Buy from a national type company and talked about in forum at:  http://www.webhostingtalk.com/

WARNING: Never buy from the local ISP or internet provider. Buy from a company that provide the "CPanel" control panel. Hosting is under 10 dollars per month for the starter page. If you are paying more, you are paying too much, and probably getting hosed by your friend.  The bigger the company, and normally the easier to have a page, and the more services like pre-configured chat, forums, and cgi files. And a forum for help on support. The big ones will have a Queue on support. This is good. You will eventually get your question answered in the normal abuse of the support staff.

   WARNING: Do not buy here. You will buy in next link.
   WARNING: Use an email address like Hotmail, or AOL, but Not the email addresss of the domain you are registering. When you get shut off from our host you will not be able to move it as easy.
   

2. REGISTER NAME:

   WARNING Do NOT get or buy hosting here. The send good notifications of domains that are about to expire. 90 - 60 - 30 You MUST make the email address to a FREE or one that is not controlled by the hosting company.

4. HOSTING FREE
   Not worth the time and risk, there are many host for 48 dollars per year.
   

5. HOSTING PAID:

   http://www.dh2.net/ Done real good, 48 dollar per year, does not allow some scripts, mainly for 5 page wonders.

6. What you absolutely want...! Cpanel. Look for a demo of this service that the hosting company purchase for they server. It is a great STANDARD feature. I require it.  http://www.cpanel.net
   

7. MOVE DNS NUMBERS:  
   This is the confusing part. You have either paid or got free or paid service You need to go to the HERE dotmaniac.com And point the page at your host. The names are always changing, but you will receive the DNS names in you introductory letter from the hosting company. DNS stands for Domain Name Server... I think.
   

8. PUBLISHING PAGE: To publish your page to internet: FTP File Transfer Protocol
   Go to http://www.download.com
   Search for "FTP"  look for WSFTP it is FREE 32 Bit one
   

9. UNZIP FILE: If the computer does not have winzip, Download it http://www.download.com
   Search for winzip, download it. Note the owner of help in any internet cafe should know about winzip, if they do not go to another internet cafe if you are going to work at the same one all the time. The place is too stupid.
   

10. MOBILE PAGE MAKER: Place FTP on USB, Flash or Thumb drives UNZIPPED!!!!  To use in other internet cafes.
    Remember the left side is your computer, the right side is the server.

12. NOTE: A WebPage is ONLY A FILE ON A COMPUTER, UNTIL YOU TELL THE WORLD. You MUST submit your page to the search engines. A good FREE tool to start is http://www.submitexpress.com
