Cynical Travel Definitions
Ecologically Safe: Reason to charge more.
Hostel: A place where the management does not provide normal hotel services, but
it cost the same.
Semi-Cama, and Cama Bus: Same bus, but one cost more.
Great BEACH: There is lots of drugs, and party.
Guide: Someone who tries to have sex with foreign girls.
Agri-Tourism: A place where you pay the same, but have to work, and compete with
the local workforce, decreasing the availability of jobs.
Tourist Guide CARD: Indicates he knows where, all the prostitutes, drugs, and
will gladly take you to his uncles store.
I love you: Latino male = I want to have sex with foreigner, are you
stupid?
Latino Female: I want to have sex, but only if you take me to you country.
Safe Deposit box of Management: The left second drawer down, of the desk.
Safe Storage room for Backpacks: The space behind the reception desk, or the
room where the cleaning supplies are.
Cleaning lady: The person, that steals you camera, and 10 dollars, of the one
hundred dollars in you wallet.
Posted room prices: A starting point of negotiations, or prices for new
travelers.
Food on the bus: A way for the bus to make more money.
Executive bus: Same bus, but cost more.
Music on the bus: The noise that makes it impossible to talk. The noise you hear
all night, while trying to sleep.
Great Place to study languages: The best party town in the area.
Camera Case: Please rob me, I have money on me.
Tourist Menu: Come in, you will pay more.
Wake up call in the morning: I will wake you after I wake up, and when I
remember.
Policeman: A person walking around looking for girls, and bribes.
Tourist information office: A place that sells tours, trips, etc. The same as a
travel agent.
Recycled box: Place that you place your aluminum, so we can make money, and we
do not have to separate, or clean from the normal trash.
Call a Taxi for me please: OK, I will call my cousin, or please. I would like to
pay double the cost for a taxi.
Do not wash you clothes in the room: We have a pay to use laundry, and we want
you to use it.
Backpack Cover: I am from Israel.
Dredds: I like to listen to Bob Marley, and smoke dope.
.925 Silver: Stamp that proves it is fake.
Dollar: The currency to use, when paying more than one hundred dollars.
Local Currency: The money we use, because we need a place to pass the fake
bills.
Manana: A day that does not exist.
