Story of my having my arm out the van or Tro Tro in Ghana, West Africa and my Ivory Coast girlfriend slapping me.
I was riding in the rear seat of a van, called a Tro Troy in Ghana, it was hot and I placed my arm semi-hanging out the window.
My Ivory Coast girlfriend Bah slaps me,
"Why are you slapping me?"
"Keep your arm in, you are going to lose it."
What happens is this, cars often pass too closely in West Africa there are no police to monitor the drivers and many sideswipes occur.
It was obvious she knew enough people who had lost hands, that she thought slapping was needed, it was that dangerous and important.
Yes Andy is right about his statement, I have often seen this practice of children to put their hands out of the vehicle’s window. And also seen many accidents. In private vehicles they have given the warning sign to not do this, but they will do. This is so dangerous. http://www.castletonlaw.com
