Have you ever heaard of a scam on tourists in Jamaica to try to scare them vith voodoo-like actions? A touist couple ate dinner on their first night, and had some drinks. They went on to their room in the Best Western. The next morning they awoke with chicken foot marks...in dried blood on their bodies. I am guessing they were drugged, and someone gained access to their room and did this to them. They would NOT have roamed the dark streets anywhere in Jamaica, nor would they have sought out anything off the wall like voodoo. Nothing else happened. They hired a driver for the rest of the stay. Was that like anything anybody has heard of? I think it was a scam to frighten white Americans into leaving, or a plan to get money from them...scare them into needing some voodoo antidote cerimony for a high dollar price.

Jamaicans have a familiar scam of finding people that they can protest their love/friendship for and later giving them hardship stories to con money from them. These people are very, very good actors. And the stories vary, from no job and starving to needing healthcare for their babies. They are very creative and conviencing. The truth of the matter is that a great of people that tell these stories have money gram and western union cards because everyday is payday (Thx. to a unsuspecting tourist) and they live better than we do.

Early this afternoon I received a phone call from a man who called himself David Moore. He said he was a driver with UPS and that he had a delivery/presentation to give to me. He had my full name and address, and that he would be by in an hour. He also gave me a name of James Taylor using the phone number of:1-876-321-5585, and that I should call him to let him know that he was coming (David Moore). It didnt sound right to me since David Moore had an accent I couldnt place. It was definitely foreign. Anyway, I waited, and its been well over 2 hours now and no UPS. I did, however, call that number and there was no one there, but I was to leave a message. So, I believe that it is a scam.
