Hi jonathon, Re your query about Lyndon Sheehan and Roy Withers.
I bought some Bulgarian land north of Varna, through Lyndon Sheehan in 2006. I have to say that the deal went perfectly and he was one of the most pleasant guys I have ever met.
As a complete coincidence I met Roy Withers in the Capital hotel Varna in April this year. He said that he bought the company from Sheehan in 2007 and that Lyndon Sheehan is now building in Portugal. Roy is living near Marbella in Spain but says he was in varna arguing with the Bulgarian electric company.
I was given a business card by Withers but cannot lay my hands on it, when I do Ill email it to you.
John

Does anyone have any further advice on property scams in Bulgaia?I have recently paid a deposit for a house a few hours from Sofia that had not actually been purchased by the agent at the time of sale by auction to me on Ebay, (which is apparently quite normal?!!)and having got to Bulgaria, the agents seemed just as unsure at that point wether or not they could actually secure it.This is just part of a very shaky looking transaction so far that I will not be completing, though I am going to minus a Ł500 deposit.Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hi.
Can anyone who has had any involvement with Roy Witherden or Lyndon Sheehan regarding the Zora Complex at Byala in Bulgaria please contact me. My number is: 07974 585121 or e-mail me; jonathan.young@jonathansfireworks.co.uk
We have brought a property from these people and not heard anything in weeks. Our solicitor has sent us photos showing that the building is not finished, depsit the fact we have paid in full and also paid extra to help finish the building. Now all numbers for them are uncontactable. We are flying out next week to make further investigations, but want to hear from other people involved with this urgently.

Contact Name Roy Witherden

We paid a substantial deposit in March 2007 for an off plan apartment in Byala. In June we visited Byala and shown the plot. However, since then we have not been able to contact this company – emails not answered and mobile switched off and text messages unanswered. The fax machine and office telephone number are now unsubscribed numbers. The police are now involved and we now know Roy Witherden is a criminal and hopefully will get his come upance!!

A Bulgarian Fairy Story

Once upon a time there was a property agent in Bulgaria. She was a short, stumpy wizen dwarf-like creature with ginger hair, skin like leather and horrible teeth. She was very naughty and made a lot of customers very unhappy. She pretended to be their friend and find them a nice holiday home but in reality she was a wicked witch of a woman and took money from many people who never got their dream homes after all! Despite the exploits of the handsome stranger who tried to help those poor, unfortunates who had handed over their life’s savings, she got away with deceit and lies and a lot of cash for many years.

Then, to her horror, Bulgaria joined the EU and everything changed. Now the wicked witch was in danger because the EU laws could now help unfortunate consumers who had lost out to the wicked woman’s deals. Entry to the EU brought new consumer rights to the poor victims of the wicked witch and she was in mortal danger of going to a damp dungeon for her terrible sins.

Fearing for her safety she hatched a cunning plan to escape justice. She went on forage to find another land that was outside of the reaches of the trusty EU laws. Eventually, after much travelling (and let’s not forget, every mile for her short stubby legs must seem like two for us normal humans) she eventually found sanctuary in a land called Turkey.

Discovering that Turkey was outside of the jurisdiction of the knights of the EU, she decided to settle there in, what she believed to be, safety and anonymity.

Before long, disguised as a friendly Munchkin, she purchased a villa from a very nice person calling themselves Ada who lives near to the Cagdat Hotel not far from the town cemetery.

So, the wicked witch, unbeknown to the inhabitants of Yavansu region, decided to settle down in the newly renovated villa in the village of Kusadasi thinking to herself “who could ever suspect a harmless Munchkin of starting up any wicked trickery again in here? I have a clean slate away from the EU and a whole new supply of innocent, unsuspecting victims just waiting to hand over their money to me”

She really had hoped to live there, happily ever after………but any way you disguise it, honest people will always see through the most elaborate disguise and reveal the true identity and location of any poison dwarf. Now the wicked witch is wondering just what else the good, honest people are planning to prevent her from living happily ever after!

THE END.

Helpful Poem

Houses can be a problem, but land is easy to find!

If you have trouble with your house
And the transfer becomes a bind
Do not despair help is at hand
So don’t go out of your mind.

If other agents treat you well
But yours is being unkind
Just send me a PM on this forum
And don’t get left behind.

For we can help give you a second chance
And stop that daily grind
Of chasing The Witch who stole your cash
And give you second wind.

So remember, we are here to help
And finally, Justice find
Houses CAN be a problem,
But land is easy to find!

Does anyone know if the properties on Ebay are a scam?. It seems the company selling these properties are based in Scotland and have been registered with Ebay only a short while. Rosemary.

I\'d agree with you Kevin on that one.I\'ve also been to Bulgaria to check out what seem to be \"unbelievable\" bargains but have turned out to be total scams.Luckily (and sorry my friend I am n\'t boasting) I saw through the lies and the old addage \'if somethings too good to be true it usually is\' and left Bulgaria.I now have a property in Slovenia and hope to retire there soon with my family.

I would like to add the following advice for people who are thinking of investing money into property in Bulgaria...DON\'T.Me and my wife went to a \"reputable\" Estate Agency in Veliko Turnovo to buy a villa which was being sold for the bargain price of 8,000 Pounds ($12,000).After a viewing we bought the property of the agent (A.J. Russimov) and were then told that we had to meet someone to arrange the proper transfer of ownership. After being threatened at gunpoint we were made to pay out another 3,000 pounds. We have NO way of getting this money back and our villa that we bought with the \"deeds\" has been taken off us due to a new roadbuilding scheme and we can\'t even get any money back from it.Don\'t go here to buy property because everything belongs to the Russian mafia.Everything including the Police.Stick to somewhere like Greece or Turkey.
