Hey Andy,

Uploading videos is a pain when the connection hovers around 5kbps...

One thing I've found that saves tons of time is to convert the video first and then upload it. divx.com provides a utility to convert a number of different formats to .divx (the divx converter). I just tested it out and it turned a 30 second, 40Mb video I took on my camera into 2.1Mb, and the quality is just about par. Youtube will upload it too. Have a look and maybe you can spend a few hours less at the internet cafe and more time in carriages :)
