Test New Cell Number with Skype Travel Tips
Verizon has loaned me a Blackberry Storm to test and review globally, I am very excited.
Ok, I have a new SIM card telephone number in Ethiopia .
Ok, I have a new number Verizon telephone number in the USA.
How do I know it work here in Ethiopia?
I open up Skype.com and start dialing the number until it works, I can sit in the internet café and ask people how to call the new SIM card number until it works. I then save is and test it as I move around in the country, making sure area code or dialing codes continue to work.

Ok I lied; I do not have a new SIM card number in Ethiopia.
Normally when I enter a country, I will go a purchase a SIM card to install in my Quad Band Cell or Mobile Phone. I have not purchased one in Ethiopia because they are expensive; the card cost about 35 dollars here. Normally in most countries the SIM card cost between 3 and 15 dollars, I am not sure 35 dollars is good deal, I would need to stay here for at least two-three months.
Nonetheless, I decided to call my “Verizon Blackberry Storm” number and see if worked.
Before you email your new SIM Card Telephone number to you Mom or friends, make sure to test it with Skype.com.
