I am always baffled to understand tourist, after 10 years of travel, there is no rhyme or reason to why tourist visit places.

My only instinct says, it is all about the shopping, all the rest is almost irrelevant. Pana has some trinket shopping, some Mayans walking around selling typical clothes of Guatemala. It just does not have enough glitz for the majority of tourist. Very few of the consumer tourists enjoy this place, truly not a good place for the people who only enjoy life when consuming. I think it bores the average tourist to death here in Panajachel, truly drives them away.

What a great place for me.

Every notice how many people go to the beach and do not lie in the sun? They obviously are not there for the sun.
