I cannot truly tell you why, however, there is something difficult about Thailand that slowly makes me nuts. It is cheap here, the quality of life is good enough. I truly cannot say why I feel a little crazy when I am in Thailand.
When a person lives outside their own country, they need to hack out a place where they belong, I wonder if that is possible in Thailand.

Thailand is the young man's playground. The only wonder is that you didn't tire of it sooner.

i hope u can pinpoint what it is exactly that makes u feel like that. I too can only take so much of thailand before i want to get back to london. And i am malaysian. it is not thailand only, i feel the same way about malaysia(and I was born there!!!) there is something about the western way of life that no matter how appealing the life in thailand and malaysia, i still want to get back to london. it is a place i can stay, unlike thailand and malaysia which are places (amongst many) that i only like to visit. i did not know that others feel the same way. u seem so settled in thailand, and like it so much, so it would be really interesting to really find out why after all is said and done u still need to get back to usa . i have tried to honestly look at why i like london, and i can only say because it lets me do what i like. in s.e.asia, there is always this background prohibition spoken or unspoken that haunts a person who lives there...'dont do this, dont do that'. It gets irritating after a bit. That is my reason for my wanting to get back to london. is that yours too? or do u have another?
I will only spend 10 days in the USA before I go to Guatemala. However, everything works, what I expect to happens, does happen.I do like Thailand, however there is always pile of small problems between me and relaxation. However, I am truly not sure...
