Traditional Music of Thailand Video
There is a park on the river near Khao San Road where they have Aerobics and various other events. Normally in the cool of the evening before sunset in a surrealistic lack of reality push, people go down to the park to try to be different, normally they all look the same, but different.

However, the other night a different treat, there was a group of musicians playing traditional Thailand Music in the grass. Notice the Jugglers in the background, this one was good, I am sure he escaped from a European Circus.

Quote:
Thailand music reflects it geographic position at the intersection of China, India, Indonesia and Cambodia, and reflects trade routes that have historically included Persia, Africa, Greece and Rome. Thai musical instruments are varied and reflect ancient influence from far afield - including the Klong Thap and Khim (Persian origin) Jakae (Indian origin), Klong Jin (Chinese origin) and Klong Kaek (Indonesian origin).

Though Thailand was never colonized by Western powers, pop music and other forms of European and American music have become extremely influential. The two most popular styles of traditional Thai music are luk thung and mor lam; the latter in particular has close affinities with the Music of Laos.

Note, if you are a fire juggler, maybe a bongo player, what to try to be different, try to pick up a dread Farang tattoo girls that look anemic. Or a Farang Chic that wants to get naked with Thailand style boy hippies, this is the park to meet them. This is the counter culture, looking like everyone on Khao San Road, but has Juggling and Bongo skills, get in touch with the grass they are sitting on group and call it love.
