Visiting the Same Place Twice
I will not return to the same Tourist Trap twice, I am writing a mental note in the back of my brain to stop, I shall only return to places where I have many friends, like in the Philippines, maybe Thailand.

Returning to a Tourist Destination such as Cusco or Machu Picchu is just a rerun, and rather boring.

Blog of Andy HoboTraveler.com --- Add a Hotel --- Backpack Design Survey
----------------------------------

This is a nice city, the people are nice, however I do not have any friends, this is Quechua or New Generation of too cool to be Quechua. There is no real expat community, this is a daily rerun of a new people entering the hotel, and then they leave to go on the Inca Trail the next day. The prices of places like Cusco has been so inflated, most long-term travelers would it find uncomfortably expensive to return, they are not just hanging out in Cusco, Peru.

The Hotel I am in presently six years ago was a cheap backpacker hotel, now Cusco has Tourist inflated their prices to a level where nobody is hanging around for more than a couple of days.

Tourism is about money, people who work in the tourist industry seem to always be preoccupied with optimizing their money to a uncomfortable point. They everything over the edge, about 20 percent higher than people would comfortable pay and not think about it.

I tend to believe a Hotel, Hospedaje, Posada, etc. that is not 100 percent full in a tourist area is over priced.

The bottom line is this, a person should only return to place where they have collected a lot of locals emails as friends, or expats, there is no reason to see a tourist attraction city such as Cusco or Machu Picchu twice.

I came to modify my backpacks.
