Good Travel Health Requires a Way to Cook Thursday, April 24, 2008 Good Travel Health Requires a Way to Cook I was told I have high blood pressure, then given some pills called Atenolol. Well, I have been abusing my body for the last three months, eating, working on a computer, not taking care. Therefore, I decided to take care, eat right, cut down on salt, etc, blah blah blah. I just set my mind to it, and I do it. I cannot eat in restaurants and stay healthy; I know in the end I am doomed to malnutrition. I need a guest kitchen in the hotel or it just does not work, or somehow cook in my room. --------------------------------- Panajachel Guatemala Lago Atitlan - Lake Atitlan Wednesday, April 23, 2008 Andy of HoboTraveler.com --- Encyclopedia of Traveler Rooms ---------------------------------- Eating healthy while traveling takes work, now that I am really eating healthy, I have upgraded the desire for kitchen in the hotel for me to use from a want, to a need. I do not find balance meals in restaurants; I can only find the food in the local food market. My present hotel has a Kitchen in it, I am grateful. I also cook in my room, with an alcohol cooker, when there is no kitchen. I really think a wise long-term traveler must learn to cook in their rooms, pretend they are always camping, it is the only solution I can find.
