I am reading two books, The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt by Edmund Morris and The Happy Isles of Oceania by Paul Theroux.

I cannot help but think that Paul Theroux is an American wanting to be British, and Roosevelt was a British guy wanting to be American.

I have been laboring away with the Paul Theroux book now for over a month, while the Roosevelt book will not last the week.

I find Paul somewhat is like a textbook on how to travel, full of small insights, if I can finish his books, and when I do, I guess will I feel better educated.

I think when I finish this Roosevelt Biography, I will feel more inspired, and both men were on a journey to somewhere.
