--------------------------------- Koh SiChang Thailand - Southeast Asia Island South of Bangkok 120 Kilometers Tuesday, February 19, 2008 Andy of HoboTraveler.com --- We Need Hotels ----------------------------------
I have had more interesting conversations in two days of being on this island than in two months of hanging around Bangkok.
All three of these people sort of shake their head and said they had to leave Bangkok as quick as possible, as it was not the place for them. I am learning there is no place for me in Bangkok, it is not me, and really just annoying, yet I spend too much time in this city. I truly need to become clearer on where happiness is…
The search for happiness is about being extremely judgmental and leaving quickly, not trying to make the best of situations.

Hey Andy,You have been traveling for 12 years! I don't think you will ever find a spot on this planet that will be the perfect place to make you happy all the time. You like to wander and soon become bored of your surroundings. What are you looking for anyways? If you wrote a list of all the things and places that made you happy and then you received them, you would still get bored of them. Maybe you need a place to hang you hat for awhile. Like opening your own hostel, which you've talked about. Create a living place, instead of this virtual world. Maybe your due for a real cold shower and a slap across the face. When you get to Africa it's going to be the same aggravations. Now you know that feeling when you go and stay at your parents house in the USA. That sense of home. Sense of security. No body cooks as good Mom. Do you feel that? If you could create that feeling in your own hostel. I tell you one thing hobo. When you go home this time to the USA. Better look at the people that love you and throw some of that love in your backpack. Cause when they are gone, there is not another chance. I took my mom for granted my whole life. Family is all you got and it's not forever.Thats my sermon for the night. Take it easy Andy!!!Scott
