I Fly to Acapulco March 11
I purchased a one-way air ticket to Acapulco, Mexico on March 11, 2008. I have been writing emails to my friend Nancy, and sure hope the prices of Mexico beaches has not become unreasonable.
I will fly from Bangkok on March 3, then to Mexico on March 11.

Mexico was over-priced 10 years ago, I sure hope it has tourist inflated the prices too high to compete with global room values. I now know the true value of good rooms on a world market.
Americans and Europeans pay comparable prices to their home countries and make the locals rich, and right next door there is often hotel rooms properly priced.
I remember the breath of fresh air I breathed the first time I left Mexico, and entered Guatemala.
Mexico is inflated in price because of American tourist willing to overpay and say thank you.
It is also makes me weak in the knees to think I feel the need to buy a ticket to Mexico in Bangkok, because it is easier and cheaper.

Andy, why do you mostly go to Thailand when you are in Asia? What about Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Sarawak, Bhutan, Taiwan, Bangladesh and much more. You don't seem to like going to lots of places.

You do not know where I have been, I do and have been to all the countries you listed and MORE. Mongolia, China, India etc. I have not been to
Brunei, Sarawak, Bhutan
Bhutan is on my list, very expensive country and presently I do not want to spend the money.
Oceania is a big trip, I am reading a book about paddling by Paul Theroux to research.
I have said hundreds of times, I buy my plane tickets from Bangkok, I use Bangkok as my base for buying plane tickets. I can buy tickets here cheaper and one way better than any other country on the planet I know.
Asia is not as interesting as Africa or South America, so I will be spending less and less time in Asia, even if the tickets cost twice as much, it just cannot be bothered.
