Are There Pyramids in Thailand
I have seen the Pyramids of Egypt, Tikal, Mexico City, and other big piles of rocks.

I sometimes feel there are Pyramids in Thailand

The Mayan Pyramids of Tikal Guatemala protrude up over the trees, you can see these mountain peaks coming out of the jungle canopy. (Monk house to right, someone go check to see if they have internet WIFI?)

There are many steps to climb when at the Pyramids of Mexico City.

King Tut and all those Egyptian Kings- Pharaohs, - Monks?... are buried under pyramids. OR... well they take a very important person and put in these things or under.

This is the Golden Mount or some manmade pile that has something to do with important people of Thailand. It just has the feel of a pyramid to me, I am sure there are word games going on, however any way I do it, there seems to be something to do with pyramids here.

I think this is 260 feet high, and I have a 50-50 chance of being wrong on this data as it is hearsay. I think the Egyptian Pyramids are a lot bigger; however, Tikal is about the same.

Seen one Wat you seen them all, I seen one on the side of mountain in Tibet, and I waved at it as the car drove by, they then took us to a few very boring ones.

This Wat is special in a way, maybe I think so because I can walk to it from Khao San Road, get lazy and pay 50 Baht for a taxi to take me back home.

Go to Burger King on Khao San Road, turn right.
Go to big 10 plus lane road and turn left
Walk about 10-20 minutes and look diagonally over to your right for a castle thing.
(Note ignore the Wat Garden and other extremely beautiful ones to the right of Castly and gun thing, they are Same Same in a way Wats)
When you see the white castle thingy, look above and you can see this Golden Mount.

Make sure and Y at the King Photos, and any Monks along the way, I also advise to stop at the one 7-11 and buy an ice coffee.

Note, Angkor Wat and Machu Picchu are somewhat insults, and I cannot be bothered, however that really tall building in Brugge Belgium may be a Pyramid.

I really do not like to search down correct facts and spelling, so please do not forgive me.

  • I believe you have probably seen Swayambhunath on the edge of Kathmandu city. Again, a big gold thing on top of a mound. This is typical of Buddhist stupa design in south asia. A big mound with a thing on top. Many religions use tall things in this way... churches have a steeple, Hindu temples also have a sort of pyramid-tower part, the Muslims have minarets, the ancient Celts used standing stones, Babylon had the Ziggurats and mountains are always seen as holy places in early cultures...

  • OK, this is 2 weird. After harold & kumar's Burgers post and ash's Church steeple note, I can only comment on a highly recommended acoustic music offering by the Waybacks, "Burger After Church":http://www.waybacks.com/burger.html

  • Ash is maybe also feeling and not just making labels. The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SwayambhunathHe is pointing at height, and so am I. Whether a person used big rock blocks or huge mounds of dirt. There is a need for height when we honor importance.Eric --The Fabulous 1,000-Foot White Pyramid of Xian is height in a way.
