No Bag save a Turtle Please
Plastic bags kill turtles, the world now believe every purchase needs to be put in a plastic bag. I buy a pack of gum and they put in a plastic bag.

I refuse 9 out of 10 plastic bags by just saying no. I do admit, the plastic bag is good way to stop shoplifting.

However, I now say,
“No bag, save a turtle please.”

I realized the store was apathetic about the bag, they do not care yes or no, however when I say the turtle thing, they sometime think. I am by one on one lobby educating the people that a plastic bag I do not need will kill a turtle.

  • Good thoughts, and a possible future solution to this problem, however not implemented today. That site to me is sort of junk science. However, I made this comment on it, and mabye the moderator will allow.-----------------A few comment here are weasel comments.1 -. red bags did not last long in direct sunlight.?Question.. how long? And the real problem, plastic bags are in the bottom of the lake or ocean and not in direct sunlight.I agree with the red idea, and more friendly than traditional ideas. I also want plastic bags, I want the number used to be less.2nd Weasel comment, the title.- Research shows plastic bags are turtle friendly”This article is saying something the scientist may not be saying, but the article infers that the present bag is ok, and this is not true.Tricks written to and more to make good copy and not for science.I have traveled for 11 years, and all the first world ideas work good in the first world. This is not where ther is a problem, it is the other 80 percent of the planet where there is no social responsibility.

  • I am in Thailand, I turn down about 5 bags per day here. I just do not need a bag for a sack of chips I eat in the next ten minutes.I am thinking of having a small card made in Thai language.I refused the bag because it kills turtles, and clutters up the planet, please allow us the option to not have the bag.The put 90 percent of products sold in the 7-11 in plastic bags.Hard to put a soda drink in a plastic bag, all the rest go.
