With or Without Hotel Reservations
There are two types of people, those who reserve rooms and those who do not. I almost never reserve a room, and for a reason, I want the best room for the money.

There is nothing wrong with a Hotel Reservation, however if you think you have the best room, I believe you are mistaken.
Travel Agents, Tour Companies and now people on the internet have a blind spot; they cannot see all that is there.
The best hotels will not have internet booking, and the reason is simple, they do not need it, they are always full.
I am seeing more and more crummy hotels full of people because the person booked over the internet. I am not saying a great hotel does not have internet booking, I just know that as of today, November 27, 2007 the best small hotels do not have internet bookings. They just do not need it; they have been in business for a long time and are continually full. The management is procrastinating paying for advertisement they do not need.
Do not assume the best hotels are on the internet, why would they, they are full. The solution if possible is to book a room for one night, and then go look around if you are nervous.
