The taxi pulled up to the front of my hotel in Manila, Philippines at about 5:30 am, and a girls opens the gate to welcome me into the hotel. I am now Manila, Philippines, a place I have visited a few time before, it is closer to home than most cities, it helps they speak small English.

There was some jokes, some discussion, I said something about whether one room was available. I want my room, Andy has a room in this hotel and in all hotels, I choose the room that is mine and I become a squatter. I think a few people panic a little when they enter a hotel, like this is a big business decision. I tend to walk around looking over the place that is my new home and deciding, it this my new home.

Often if my room is not available, I go to the next hotel on the list and see if my room is available there.
