Tony Blair is a great public speaker. When he retires in June, it is considered likely that his successor, Gordon Brown, will hire Tony's speech writer. (though, obviously, it's not just the writer that makes Tony a great speaker!)
I don't agree with everything Tony has done in office, and I didn't vote for him (although I was only able to vote in his final election, not before). However, I think he has tried hard, and done lots of good too.
It is good to see in public someone who supports Bush and Blair. So often I hear bad things said about both men by people who think they are the majority because so many loud people say bad things about these men.
What the loud ones don't realize is that, they are actually the minority. I have found that angry, unhappy people saying angry things are usually the loudest and most noticed. That does not make them the majority. There are many of us who support Bush and Blair, whether we agree with everything they do and say or not.

I think, I am not sure, I think I feel, I am not sure where it come from, maybe I learned it in Sunday School. However, I feel a man, a human, a person needs to witness to what they believe is true.
Maybe it is from Sunday School class and when... I cannot remember, I think it was Peter, I am not sure, however, one of them denied he knew Christ.
I guess this has always struck me as a reasonable request of life. Witness the truth, tell the truth, stand for something.
I am not sure, I am a recovering alcoholic, I spent many days and hours trying to be brave enough to kill myself, to end the life of a lie.
Now, after 20 years of sobriety, I feel a need to say my yes and no, the life of the lie is dead.
I had to accept, believe and live by a crede of rigorous honesty to put the demons back in the bottle.
This is real, and very dangerous, a lie never ends.
I have never been in your position so my opinion may not mean much, but I do not see killing yourself to be brave. I see NOT killing youreself when things really look bad to be brave. Killing yourself is easy, get drunk/drugged to the point you no longer are thinking, then do it. What I assume gets in the way is the bravery, the underlying strength that says "be strong, we can get through this." Fortunately, this bravery is stronger than most people realize in most people.
