Quote from Tony Blair
Quote from Tony Blair
Addendum Note:
It is possible this quote is not correct, I Andy of HoboTraveler.com have no way find out the truth, the general gist of the quote is correct, yet I am not able to validate.
The message, what is the thoughts of value?
"That more people want the USA."
When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want
in... And how many want out."
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
END QUOTE
Hmm, Jac sent the quote from Tony Blair to me, and I thank him.
I am thinking...
A simple way to measure the value of advice..
There are people that do things.
There are people who complain about people who do things.
Take advice from the person who is doing something.
From me... Andy

Too bad Tony Blair didn't say most of that. You really ought to check these things out before posting for all the world to see.

Hello Dave,
On the other hand, Anonymous and easy to be so… I tried to see if you only complain or you actually are someone who will admit who there are, yet when I click on your profile, you are nobody…
I think you fit into my quote:
A simple way to measure the value of advice…
There are people that do things.
There are people who complain about people who do things.
Take advice from the person who is doing something.
From me... Andy
OK, I did find the test the quote also on two newspaper sites. I went to the site you listed below, yet the way they use the English language, I am still not sure.
Then you say DIDN'T SAY MOST OF THAT. Did he say it, or not say it, or said it and I quoted from a page inaccurately. What is the point in complaining, easy to do, if I am wrong, and then tell me, and US, the readers the correct quote.
I am out in the jungle, in Africa, and not reading sites that spend their whole time working with, or complaining about someone else, no original idea in this site, just clarifications.
IF you look up at the top of every page, it says, "I am not a Journalist."
Ok this site below, still questionable quote said this, who knows what 100 percent accurate is, I was not at the speech.
"I sometimes think it is a good rule of thumb to ask of a country: are people trying to get into it or out of it? It's not a bad guide to what sort of country it is."
This part of the quote seems to be accurate.
The part about Jesus and America is now in question.
I was wrong in trusting newspaper sites; I will try to put multiple disclaimers…. Hehehe saying do not believe anything.
This site quoted from the Guardian and the Columbus Dispatch, again hearsay and not 100 proof, just a preponderance of proof. I think it is probably accurate.
What a person should be doing here is understanding, and I do believe, the test about the USA is more people are entering than leaving. This is the message, not how it was said, this is not important, or even who said it.

Of course, there are many other people who offered to die for someone. For example:
the Vietkong
the suicide bomber
the iraqi insurgents
the afghani militias
the Red Army
etc. they all fight for something they believed in, many of them because they believe it would make them free.
Difference isn't what people who fight believe, it's what you and me believe from where we're sitting. We believe one side is good, the other bad. The enemy think the opposite.
