I am in Olangapo, Philippines, a very strange place to say the least. It is my first inclination to say the whole area around here is crazy. The world is a little astray here, however it is also ok. I have a natural tendency to want to say things are wrong. Or maybe I dream of a perfect world.
I was looking the other day as two Chinese females in the airport hug and cuddles in an obvious way. They were lesbian lovers, my natural tendency is to say, this is not right.
That is a complicated answer.
I watched this movie on HBO called - Contact -. It is from a book by Carl Sagan explaining faith and other ideas. However it refers to an idea called Occam's Razor. Briefly and easy to understand is that it says this, - The simplest answer is usually the correct answer.-
However.. the two girls in the airport, the many strange and unusual beliefs on the planet, the world of terrorist and what we do not wish to exist. I can get complicated or I can say.
It is normal. What exist on the planet is normal, nothing more is needed, unless you want to have some confusing conversation for the sake of something to do.

in searching "Indonesia-volunteers" found your site, and a few week old question looking for volunteer opportunities there. Read your blog, and thought you might enjoy sharing information on a volunteer group currently working near Yogyakarta, and even thought you might want to stop by, since you're in the neighborhood. Group initially formed after the tsunami, then brought 1,500 volunteers down to Biloxi after Katrina. Small project just getting launched in Sawithttp://www.hodr.org/David Campbell
I guess, my immediate reaction at an airport is to assume people are seeing a close friend they have not seen in a long time/ or they will not see for a long time. However, if i had reason to suspect they were lesbians, this does not make me think it is wrong: it would have, once, because of my religious background. And, for sure, many people in my Church would say it is wrong. However, I do not often agree with the theology of people in my Church.I think this is also an example of what you say. we both have different views: maybe both are normal.
