If you find this is only happening to a few posts, Blogger now lets you turn off comments or turn off and hide comments (on specific posts). All you have to do is edit the post and switch the comments options. :)

Thanks for the advice, I turned of the comments section for that post. Interesting how I can read a little check box and never consider why it is there, and the implications. I have now stopped the problem.
