One cup heater for backpackers.

This is a heater in a Tupperware container. About 5 minutes and this water is hot enough to boil water or wash clothes.

The ones that are best are the coiled wire type. This one is home made I am using the heating element out of the slow water heat for showers that exist in Central and South America. They sell them in most places in the world.

I bought this one in La Paz Bolivia. Works great. The heating coil is inside the plastic. It does not spark or cause a problem when close to metal.

The example at work.
This is a modern type. Seems to burn up easier, and not be able to go between 220 and 110. This is a 220 type. It will probably work in 110. I burned up a similar one in Peru that was made for 110
